When you locate a Dividend receipt in the list, click the drop down arrow to the right of Please Select to display the Category selection list.
Select Dividend from the Income group.

Mclowd asks you to select the Account.

Mclowd then displays the Assign Dividend Transaction | Add New Income screen.
Note that much of the data has been entered from the data fed from the bank.
You need to select the Asset.

When the asset is selected, Mclowd™adds holding information and fields for entry of franked and unfranked dividends.

Enter the franked amount and unfranked amount.
Mclowd will automatically calculate the franking credit based on the Franked Amount entered.
When all details are complete, click SAVE INCOME to return to the transaction list and allocate the next item.
The transaction is now marked Allocated.

The franked and unfranked components of a dividend should be noted on a dividend advice you should have received from the company. If you don't have that to hand, you can verify the franked and unfranked components of dividends from any company listed on the ASX by going to https://www.asx.com.au/asx/markets/dividends.do and typing the security code. There, you can find details of the last few dividends paid with record date, ex-dividend date, date payable, dividend type (interim or final), dividend amount per share, and franked and unfranked percentages. You will need to calculate the totals for your shareholding by multiplying the dividend amount by the number of shares held, and then, if the franked % is not 100%, multiplying by the franked percentage.
