If you do not already have a LodgeIT™account, go to the LodgeIT™website click the yellow GET STARTED FOR FREE button in the centre of the LodgeIT™screen, or scroll and click GET STARTED on the menu in the lower section of the page .


Fill in the Set up your account screen with your name, email and a chosen password.

For security, you may need to provide a secret six-digit code that you will receive by SMS.

Once registered as a client of LodgeIT, you can create multiple ‘clients’, enabling you to prepare tax returns for any business, family trust, individuals etc. for whom you may have responsibility. You can also lodge Activity statements etc., and all lodgements will be stored on file for future reference. Charges may apply for returns for other entities and for Superfund returns other than your annual income tax return.
You should have received a verification email.
You will need to exit LodgeIT™and click the Verification link in the email to log back in.
You’ll receive another SMS code.
Once verified and logged back in, you will want to go to Clients and Add your superannuation fund as a client.

LodgeIT™will display the Setup New Client form:

Select ‘Superfund’ as the Entity Type. Enter your Fund’s ABN and Tax File Number, Fund name, a contact email and phone number and the details of the person who will sign your tax return.
Complete the form and press SAVE.
LodgeIT™will now display your Fund on the Client List.

aand provide options for you to lodge Activity Statements, a Tax File Number Declaration, PAYG Summary or Self Managed Superannuation Fund Tax Return.

Before exiting LodgeIT, you need to retrieve a Software ID to give the ATO in the next step.
Be sure your Superannuation Fund is selected as the client (the Superfund name should be displayed in the title bar).
Click the Wheel on the menu bar to drop down a menu from which you can select Software ID.

LodgeIT™will display your software ID. Make careful note of this number.

You will now need to go to the ATO Access Manager to connect LodgeIT™as your lodgment service provider. You will then return to this screen to test the ID and confirm the connection is working.
